Rosé wine and white cheddar?

Just in time for Saturday’s National Wine and Cheese Day, a limited-edition cheese and wine pairing is back. 

For the second year, the Kellogg Co., based in Battle Creek, is teaming with House Wine, based in Washington state, to offer Cheez-It brand snacks with wine in a single package. 

This year's pairing features a House Wine rosé and White Cheddar Cheez-Its.

“White Cheddar is a long-standing favorite of Cheez-It fans and what better match than light, refreshing rosé? said Jeff Delonis, senior director of marketing for Cheez-It, in a news release. “Not only does it perfectly complement the cheesy goodness, it’s also the unofficial wine of summer!”

Each box has 3 liters of of wine (or four 750-milliliter bottles) and a 21-ounce box of Cheez-It White Cheddar crackers. 

Last year's promotion featured original Cheez-Its with a red wine and sold out quickly. 

This limited-edition Cheez-It White Cheddar and House Wine Rosé officially goes on sale at 2 p.m. Thursday and costs $29.99, including shipping. It will be sold at originalhousewine.com while supplies last. As a price comparison, a 3-liter box of House Wine is $21.99 plus $15 shipping.
