Actually, yes! I’ve never made it myself, but if you look online, you’ll find a variety of recipes for raisin wine. They all start with chopping up raisins and adding water, but there are a lot of variations on the recipe, including some that add spices like cinnamon. They all result in what sounds like sweet, rich wines.

Letting wine grapes dry out (or “raisin”) on the vine to concentrate flavors and sugars is common among dessert wine styles, and some wines are made from grapes that are harvested and then left to dry out on straw mats, like Amarone (the drying process is called appassimento).
