Enjoy a glass of wine by the Potomac at the Kennedy Center's River Pavilion.

As the District continues its second reopening phase, take advantage of reopenings, pop-ups and movies. Head to the Kennedy Center’s pop-up wine garden and cafe Friday, catch a drive-in move Saturday and end the weekend at the National Zoo’s reopening.

Friday

Victura Park at the REACH

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of the Kennedy Center’s River Pavilion while sipping on a glass of wine Friday. Victura Park, a wine garden and cafe, is offering a selection of wines and snacks at a pop-up event. Bring a picnic blanket to spread out on the grass or opt for a cafe table with a shaded umbrella while overlooking the Potomac River.

2700 F St. NW, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., menu items range from $4 to $29.

Saturday

Park Up DC

Sit back and relax in the comfort of your own car at one of Park Up DC’s drive-in movies. Some films on tap Saturday include the classic “Jurassic Park,” the comedy “Friday” and the family-friendly and newly released “Sonic the Hedgehog.” &Pizza is available at the drive-in and can be delivered right to your car. Movie-goers only need one ticket per car.

RFK Stadium Lot 5, 2400 East Capitol St. NE, tickets range from $29 to $45 per car.

Sunday

Tour the National Zoo

Plan a trip to the National Zoo Sunday to celebrate the zoo’s first day back since the coronavirus pandemic forced its closure in March. While parts of the zoo will be closed to help enforce social distancing, outdoor exhibits like the lions, tigers, elephants and the kids’ farm will be open. Tickets are free, but visitors must reserve passes online before their arrival.

3001 Connecticut Ave. NW, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., free timed-entry passes.
